ALLTOP FOODHappy Tuesday everyone.

Here is todays food news.

New Eco-Atkins diet lowers LDL levels because it is a vegetarian version of its carb reducing cousin. From Reuters, a new vegetarian, non carbohydrate eating plan is showing promise in weight loss with out raising the bad cholesterol levels like the tradition Atkins diet.

Using hot dogs to break the diplomatic stiffness. From the NYT, by Dan Barry, a report on the US searving the classic American food to create a more relaxed meeting.

Food Inc. -the next big informational foodie movie. From the NYT, by Kim Severson, an overview of the premise and reason you should see this film. This is how our food is made and how everything has been manipulated to make money.

Poor diet may leas to mental health issues. Form theage, a “no duh” research project that found that a poor diet in adolescents reflected poorly of the mental health of the child. Garbage in, garbage out.

That is about it for today. Very slow food news day. I will most likely not be back to you until Friday. Until then, eat healthy and well.
