A FLASH IN THE PAN IS OPEN FOR YOUR COOKING PLEASURE!

We had a great Tweet up event last night with several Mom blogers and their readers on Twitter. Several people won a years subscription to A Flash in the Pan and one lucky lady won Nancy and I doing a dinner for her and 5 of her friends. Congratulations all and thank you again for such a great event.

Now on to todays food news.

Diners with Celiac disease  are finding more and more options when they eat out at restaurants. From the Philadelphia Inquirer.

A new trend in events is hitting Los Angeles this Saturday. From the LATIMES, Grilled Cheese Competitions are becoming a cool thing to be part of. This is National Grilled Cheese month after all.

Changing diet and exercising can boost your energy levels. Really? From Today’s Dietitian an article on why some people just do not have a lot of energy and how to help them.

A green contest for Sun Chips. You can win $20,000 for your green idea and there will be 5 winners. Go get them at Marketing Daily

From the LATIMES, a very good article on the ethics of eating. The article hits on some of the books out in the market that will help you to understand with this all really means and to capture a real snapshot of where our food industry is today. There is more items of food available but it is becoming less nutritious and more genetically modified.

Private label products are still running strong despite economy. From Food Nav

Have a great day and cook something fun tonight!
