Friday-CRU(Culinary Round Up)

Kraft lobbies congress- From Yahoo Finance, In the 4th quarter alone they spent $950,000. Now it is there money but with that type if mac and cheese being spread around what does one little noodle count.

From the Wallstreet Journal, Open that bottle night and some places to go.

Cool idea from Kroger markets. free health screenings at 31 of their 153 stores. From Progressive Grocer. This is very good social PR.

From NYTIMES – An interview with Chef Colicchio on kids picky eating habits. Not really news but important. We here at A Flash in the Pan have a new Kids Menu that starts on Monday. Check it oout. We are here to help.

Bauer has some good ideas about restaurants surviving the tough times ahead. The drink price issue is a good suggestion. From SFGATE. Mr. Bauer is normally telling us what is right and wrong with a restaurant so I think he does bring a unique view point to the table.

Fast food and a higher risk for strokes. Never saw that coming. From Healthday

Have a great weekend,
